Biddinghuizen: your starting point
Biddinghuizen is a charming village and our home harbour, Jachthaven Molecaten, belongs to it and lies close to Harderwijk and directly on the Veluwemeer, which makes it the ideal base for your cruising holiday.
Thanks to the proximity of lakes such as the Veluwemeer, it is a favourite spot for water sports and boating enthusiasts.
The Veluwemeer and the Randmeren
What was once the Zuiderzee is now a true paradise for water sports.
Via the Veluwemeer you reach the nearby lakes such as the Wolderwijd and the Drontermeer.
These waters offer peaceful landscapes and beautiful islands, ideal for relaxing, fishing, stand-up paddling and enjoying life.
Elburg: a historic gem
You moor in Elburg, a medieval fishing town and one of the Hanseatic cities, only 20 km or at most 2 hours of sailing from our home harbour in Biddinghuizen.
You stroll through the narrow streets, visit the Elburg Museum and taste local delicacies.
Harderwijk: dolphins, but so much more
A short trip to Harderwijk, also a Hanseatic city, takes you to the Dolfinarium, the largest marine mammal park in Europe and a perfect destination for a fun family outing.
Harderwijk is known for the Dolfinarium but offers much more than that, such as the boulevard and the city beach.
There are many restaurants and cafes and long shopping streets, authentic and popular.
Lelystad and Batavia Stad
Through the polder or via the IJsselmeer you sail south to Lelystad, where you discover Batavia Stad Fashion Outlet.
There you enjoy a mix of shopping, eating and culture at the Bataviawerf.
