Which data do we process and why?

Your enquiry via the contact form

Name, phone number, email address, preferred period, number of guests, sailing experience, yacht preference and your message. We use this data to answer your question and to send you a proposal. Legal basis: your request and the preparation of an agreement. We keep enquiries that do not result in a booking for a maximum of 12 months.

Your booking and rental agreement

Name, address, contact details, details of your guests where necessary and your payment details. We use this data to carry out the rental, process your payment and keep our records. Legal basis: performance of the agreement and our legal obligations. We keep administrative data for seven years, as required by tax law.

Cruising stories by email

If you subscribe, we use your email address to send you new cruising stories. Legal basis: your consent. You can unsubscribe at any time.

Visiting our website

For security and to prevent spam we briefly process your IP address. Functional cookies are needed to make the site work properly. Cookies that we use to measure site usage or to show advertisements (Google and Meta) are only placed if you give your consent. You can read more in our cookie policy.

Third-party services

Our website may show maps, reviews and a booking module from other parties. These parties process data themselves and have their own privacy policies.

Do we share your data with others?

We do not sell your data. We only share it with parties who help us provide our services, such as our hosting provider, email, the booking system and our accountant. We make agreements with them about careful handling of your data. Some parties, such as Google and Meta, may process data outside the European Union, based on appropriate safeguards.

We take appropriate measures to protect your data against loss and misuse.

Your rights

You can ask us for access to, correction or deletion of your data. You can also ask us to restrict the processing, object to it, have your data transferred and withdraw your consent. Please send an email to info@yachtcharterbly.nl. We respond within four weeks. If you disagree with our approach, you can lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
