Do you have little sailing experience? Then we are happy to help.
Sailing instructions, theory and practice
You may wonder whether you have enough knowledge and experience to set off with a luxury motor yacht of Yachtcharter BLY, but we are happy to help you get started with sailing courses in theory and practice, which we run together with De Randmeren.
Would you rather spend a night on the water without sailing yourself?
We love sailing and take the motor yacht, even with you on board, to a location of your choice. How about a week on the boulevard of Harderwijk or at another place you have in mind? We are happy to arrange it for you and even a week of enjoying the boat in the harbour of Molecaten Park Flevostrand is possible, which gives you a hotel on the water.
What you can expect from us:
- Renting a motor yacht on the Randmeren as the ideal start of your cruising holiday
- Sailing without a boating licence on the Veluwemeer, which is no problem with us
- Renting a boat near Harderwijk, which is a stone’s throw away

What happens after my reservation?
- Once you have made a reservation, you will receive a confirmation by email as soon as possible, with the details of your booking and any further questions.
- We would like to receive your agreement by email, together with any answers to our questions, by which you accept the booking and the general HISWA terms and conditions.
- Within the stated period you pay a deposit or the full booking amount to our bank account and after receipt of payment your reservation will be converted into a definitive booking.
- You pay any remaining amount at the latest three weeks before departure, for which you can consult the conditions with the booking itself.
What is included in the rental price?
What is included when renting a motor yacht?
- A fully equipped Linssen motor yacht
- Bedding and towels (* see VIP packages)
- Complete kitchen inventory
- Sailing instructions on arrival
- Cruising routes and charts
Costs and insurance
- The rental price includes 21% VAT and “fully comprehensive” insurance + any additional (VIP) bookings.
- Possible additional costs are: diesel, bridge and harbour fees.
- Cancellation insurance is strongly recommended.
Deposit
- Before departure you pay BLY a deposit as the renter. The amount of the deposit differs per yacht and is stated in your booking confirmation.
- This amount corresponds to the excess of the “fully comprehensive” insurance.
- The deposit must be paid at the latest the day before departure by bank transfer, iDEAL or in cash before departure.
- If the vessel is returned undamaged, in its original condition and within the agreed time, you will receive the deposit back in full.
- It is possible to take out deposit insurance; ask your insurer for the conditions.
What can you expect on board?
These luxury motor yachts are more complete than expected, perfectly equipped for your cruising holiday. You will find the complete inventory list under Inventory on board.
- Spacious saloon and galley, fully equipped with a large fridge and a gas hob or induction hob
- 1 or 2 toilets and showers, depending on the chosen yacht (please note: use the toilet paper provided on board)
- Free life jackets for everyone
- Option of half-open/convertible cruising
Bedding
You can bring your own bedding; a duvet or a sleeping bag, a double bottom sheet, or you can choose the extra package or one of the VIP packages with made-up beds + a bed linen package per person consisting of 1 bath towel and 2 hand towels, and a kitchen linen package.

Would you rather we sail? Then we bring your chosen yacht to the desired location in consultation with you.
Free overnight stay in the harbour
Welcome to Molecaten Jachthaven Flevostrand, where you stay the first (or last) night free of charge and use the park facilities such as the swimming pool, tennis courts, mini golf, supermarket and restaurant with a view of the Veluwemeer. You park your car free of charge behind the barriers.
Overnight stay on the Gastvrije Randmeren islands
Exclusively for Yachtcharter BLY renters and completely free.

What if the weather is bad?
No worries, because your yacht is fully equipped for every type of weather.
Whether the sun is shining or the sky looks a little more threatening, your Linssen yacht always offers you comfort and protection. Thanks to the well-insulated interior and the option to (partly) cover the yacht you enjoy a relaxed cruising holiday in all conditions, because rain or wind need not spoil anything and you always sail on comfortably.
What is the cancellation policy?
Our cancellation policy is equal to the HISWA general terms and conditions and you pay:
- 15% of the agreed rental sum for cancellation up to 3 months before the start of the rental period
- 50% of the agreed rental sum for cancellation up to 2 months before the start of the rental period
- 75% of the agreed rental sum for cancellation up to 1 month before the start of the rental period
- 100% of the agreed rental sum for cancellation within 1 month before the start of the rental period or on the start date of the rental period
Additional / amended conditions from Yachtcharter BLY
Unfortunately, as a rule we cannot refund any amount for a cancellation less than 30 days before sailing, except when we can still rent out the yacht, because then we will refund an amount corresponding to the new booking(s) or issue it to you as a credit.
When can you set sail?
- Friday or Saturday is our standard departure day; other days or times are possible by arrangement.
- On the day of departure you are welcome from approx. 3:00 pm.
- Departure is from approx. 4:00 pm, after we have given you the complete instructions.
- We expect you back on the agreed day at the end of the rental period before 10:00 am.
We would like to know when we can actually expect you, so that we can welcome you well and have all the time for you. If you are back on time, our next guests can also take over a spotless ship.
Did you know that on the day of arrival or departure you can still enjoy the swimming pool and the restaurant at the park, among other things?
Can a pet come on board?
The day of departure: what can you expect?
Arrival
- On the day of departure you arrive at the time we agreed.
- We are present in the harbour, near the crane and at the water sports shop of De Randmeren.
- Next to the water sports shop is a small “coffee bar” where we are happy to welcome you.
- The Molecaten reception is at the front of the park; they can also tell you the way to the harbour if needed.
Deposit and instructions on board
- The deposit must be paid before departure by bank transfer, an iDEAL payment or in cash; unfortunately paying by card is not yet possible.
- If your boat is already ready on your arrival, you can put your luggage on board; we are happy to assist you.
- On board we explain your boat to you, go through everything together and sail a short round with you.
- On the checklist / inventory list you can note any damage or missing items.
- After that you are free to set sail.
Groceries
There is a compact supermarket at the park and several larger supermarkets can be found in the immediate vicinity, reachable by car. The nearest is Harderwijk (Lidl / Dirk).

Sailing without a boating licence
Can I rent a motor yacht without a boating licence?
Yes. Our yachts cruise at an average of 10 to 12 km/h, well within the speed for which a boating licence is required. A boating licence is therefore not needed to step on board.
Is sailing experience needed?
Sailing experience is welcome. If you do not have it yet, we will train you and your guests before departure, so you feel confident at the helm.
How does the training work?
Together we walk through the yacht and discuss manoeuvring, mooring and safety on board. We take the time for that, and you only sail off when you are ready.
Is sailing on the Randmeren relaxed?
Yes. The water is sheltered and there are many beautiful harbours a short distance from each other, so you set your own relaxed pace.
